Week 12

Mexico was AMAZING!

It was so fun to be with good friends again.

I packed what I thought would be a weeks worth of snacks for the trip, but they lasted the first day.  I was nervous about the flight and getting sick, but both flights we had an extra seat so I could lay down.  It was a good day.  We got in late about 10pm and went straight to the hotel.

Sunday we were going to go to Church.  We were all pretty excited but after a long journey to the building, there were only 2 cars there.  I assume there was stake conference or something.  We headed down to Wal-Mart to get some groceries so that I could have my snacks.  Along with water because Mexico for some reason STILL doesn’t have sanitary water.  Why is that?  The whole world can handle filtered water… not Mexico.  blah.

We had so much fun playing lots of volleyball, laying at the beach, watching Lyndsey do Ellen’s Dance Dare, eating, and playing games.

Garrett and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary.

I was feeling SO much better.  I think because I was out, active and not thinking about.  It was so good to have Shelly there going through the same thing, having similar crazy cravings.  I think it was good for Garret to see that I’m not crazy.

Next Clue:

Every morning I can think of at least 50 reasons why I love you. Relationships can be heavy.

Morning run

Loving all the different options for exercise. I’m usually not much of a distance runner, but the stadium is only 2.2 miles away and it makes for the perfect run.

Tahiti Round 2

I’d hate us if I looked at these pictures from another couple.  I get jealous of myself watching these.  ; )

We had a wonderful trip out to Tahiti in December.  We went with Mel on another luxurious trip to “Heaven’s Heaven.”  We had the good Escapeseeker hook-ups so everything was amazing.

Tahiti

The most AMAZING photograph ever.  This is Garrett and I on the small island right next to Taha.  Hands down the most beautiful place on the face of the planet.

Cowgirls Final Season

It has been so much fun playing flag football with these girls the past 2 years.  The team has been going on for 10 years now, started by a friend, Chelsy Erikson.  It is always so fun to get out and play.  We tend to take it a little serious. If you were to check out our playbook or one of our practices, you would quickly notice.  Anyway, we made it to the finals against the track team (or rugby team earlier in the season)… as usual.  But hey, if the one team we lose to are collegiate athletes, I feel pretty good about myself.

MTC run-in

I’ve been volunteering with the Russian senior couples.  It’s actually been really great because instead of doing roll plays with this couple, I’ve been actually teaching them Russian.  This great couple from Oregon had their VISAs delayed, so they go into the MTC every day and learn Russian.  They are doing amazing.  But I’ve LOVED the opportunity to work with them and help them with Russian.  It has helped me quite a bit with my Russian.

Anyway, I had an “accidental” run-in with Hermana Gee. She is doing great. Her visa was delayed so she will be there a bit longer.  But she had great companions and was loving life.  LOVE having missionaries in the family!
